Think on this

If humans are going to walk on Mars in the next twenty years, then the first person to set foot on Martian soil has already been born. They're just walking around with no idea what their future really holds.

PPS - Not so big that I'll discount it entirely, though.

The youngest astronaut was Major (later Lt-Gen.) Gherman Stepanovich Titov who first went into space at 25, if someone matches that achievement the first person to walk on mars could be as young as five....next time i see a snotty nosed kid wailing like a banshee in a supermarket i might ask for an autograph.
